Arnold Palmer is regarded by many to be the greatest golfer of all time. He revolutionized the game by being one of the first professional golfers on television, and has one numerous trophies and tournaments. His first win was in the Canadian Open, and from there he went on to win countless PGA Tour Championships, and the Masters four times. He also has trademarked the classic mixture of lemonade and sweet tea. He still plays golf to this day.

The Golf Industry
The game of golf has remained the same for many years. Many people, especially who don't play or know anything about golf, associate it with old men. This stereo type is not necessarily true, but there are plenty of old men who do play golf, and the numbers of new golfers is diminishing. I believe that the main cause of the decline of new golfers is the price it takes to play golf. The average price it takes to buy a new set of golf clubs is around $600, a good driver is around $250, wedges are around $150 a piece, and a putter is $100. Just for equipment alone, you're looking at $1250. Granted, there are cheaper clubs that are available at garage sails or discount golf stores. All in all, golf is a great sport that I think many people would enjoy if they just tried it.

Golf
A few weeks ago, I started playing golf for Battle. I've missed a bunch of school, which has pluses and minuses. On the positive side, I don't have to go to school! Which means I don't have to get bored out of my mind 5 days a week, only 4. For a minus, I get behind on school work, and worst of all, I miss AP Language class. I have grown a lot closer with some guys on the team, and even made some new friends. It is a great stress reliever, and it is great excersise. I walk almost 2 miles per day at practice. All in all, golf has been a great experience for me.

Free Choice Blogs
If given free choice on blogs, I would blog about what was going on that day and what I was interested in during that time. When we are given a topic that is boring, such as why do authors use diction, the blogs we as students write about are not deep or thoughtful at all, because high school students don't like to write about the diction of authors. True perfection is made up by people, not told to do it. When given choices, it opens up a path for many more ideas and it makes the responses deeper and more full with meaning.
